MCP Server

Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other AI apps to your account. Once you authorize an app, it can list, read, save and tag your resources, and create share links for them.

Add to an app

Claude Code

$ claude mcp add --transport http --scope user plainmote https://plainmote.link/mcp

Then run /mcp in Claude Code, choose plainmote and authorize it in the browser.

Codex

$ codex mcp add plainmote --url https://plainmote.link/mcp

The command opens a browser to authorize. If it does not, run codex mcp login plainmote.

Zed

Add to Zed’s settings.json. Zed asks you to authorize when it first connects.

Or run MCP: Open User Configuration from the Command Palette and add the server to mcp.json. VS Code asks you to authorize when the server first starts.

Add to opencode.json, globally in ~/.config/opencode/ or in a project:

Antigravity

In the Agent panel, open … › Manage MCP Servers › View raw config and add the server to mcp_config.json. The key must be serverUrl. A browser opens to authorize it when it first connects.

Claude

In the Claude desktop app or on claude.ai, open Settings › Connectors, choose Add custom connector, name it PlainMote and enter this address:

ChatGPT

In ChatGPT, open Settings › Apps › Advanced settings and turn on developer mode. Then choose Create app under Settings › Apps, name it PlainMote, choose OAuth for authentication and enter this address:

Each app opens this site the first time it connects, for you to sign in and authorize it. Claude and ChatGPT connect from their own servers, so for them this site must be reachable from the internet.

Tools

Tool	Purpose
list_resources	List resources, or search them by name or tag.
list_tags	List the account’s tags.
read_resource	Read a resource’s text, current or of an earlier version.
list_versions	List a resource’s versions.
diff_versions	Compare two versions as a unified diff.
create_resource	Create a resource from text.
edit_resource	Replace parts of the text and save the result as a new version, without sending the whole text; refused if the resource changed since the app read it.
update_resource	Save new text as a new version; refused if the resource changed since the app read it.
tag_resource	Add or remove a resource’s tags.
share_resource	Create a share link, with an expiry of up to 30 days and a use limit.
unshare_resource	Revoke one share link of a resource, or all of them.
